Summary
Anthropic has launched Claude Motion, a feature that turns text descriptions, screenshots, and web pages into editable motion videos. This walkthrough from The AI Advantage shows how it works and how to get the most out of it.
At launch, Claude Motion is available on Teams and Enterprise plans, with a wider rollout expected. Users find it under Artifacts, in a new Motion tab next to a Dashboard tab. The video demonstrates a one-shot prompt that built a roughly three-minute timeline of United States history from a Wikipedia link in about four minutes, and a second example that produced a product video from Apple’s website.
Because the videos are generated as code, edits are precise and update live. The presenter corrects a date in the timeline, shortens a section from 13 to 9 seconds, inserts a personal photo, and uses the comment tool to select a single element and recolor it. Brand colors can be applied by sharing a screenshot of a website or a color palette table.
The video also suggests practical uses, including product launch videos, explainers for existing products or services, and short teaching clips, and notes that the feature builds on the video abilities of the Opus 5.5 model.
