I Made Minecraft Using ChatGPT

More

Descriptions:

I gave ChatGPT one job: make Minecraft from scratch.

The prompt was basically just “make Minecraft,” then I judged the result like an actual player. The game had to pass 7 tests: world generation, movement, breaking blocks, placing blocks, inventory, crafting, survival, and it had to do all of that in under one hour.

What came out was a cursed browser-based Minecraft clone with biomes, mobs, crafting, tools, torches, doors, chests, a survival loop, and a lot of very broken AI-generated chaos.

The real question was not “can AI replace a game developer?” It was: can AI turn a massive game idea into a playable prototype fast enough that you can actually test it?

And honestly, the answer surprised me.
