Summary
David Ondrej introduces Cloudroom, an open-source platform for running cloud coding agents with any harness, any model, and your existing subscriptions. A free plan is available at launch, and the code can be self-hosted or forked on GitHub.
The demo shows five agents launching at once, each with a different harness and model, including Claude Code, Codex, Hermes, OpenCode, and Pi agent. Each cloud thread runs in its own isolated Linux sandbox, and the presenter spins up 25 sub-agents on Haiku 5.5 to hunt for bugs, reaching 38 simultaneous agents. Because they run in the cloud, agents keep working when a laptop is closed or out of battery.
Ondrej contrasts Cloudroom with Cursor Cloud and Codex Cloud, arguing that those products lock users into their own harnesses, are closed source, and cannot reach local files. Cloudroom offers adjustable local access levels (off, read-only, ask before changes, or full access), handles secrets, and supports ACP.
The video also shows plain-English control of the whole system, including creating an automation that runs every 30 minutes to review project dependencies for security issues and spawns a second-opinion sub-agent on another model to verify findings. Developers interested in scaling parallel agents will see what the workflow looks like in practice.
