FULL Guide to Becoming a Principled Agentic Engineer (Build Anything with AI)

Descriptions:

Cole Medin presents a condensed version of his AI Transformation Workshop — originally co-hosted live with Leor Weinstein — offering engineers a practical, repeatable system for getting production-ready results from AI coding assistants. The session is organized around three phases: ideulating (scoping and planning work with agent help), building using Medin’s PIV loop (plan, implement, validate), and evolving the system over time by refining agent behavior based on real experience rather than guesswork.

Medin demonstrates the full workflow using Claude Code as his primary coding assistant paired with Jira for task management. He walks through custom slash commands he has developed — including a create-PRD command and a create-stories command — that automate much of the project scoping and ticket generation process. The methodology is explicitly tool-agnostic: the same principles apply whether using GitHub Copilot with Linear, Codex with GitHub Issues, or any similar pairing.

A central theme is reframing the engineer’s role away from writing code and toward higher-leverage work like planning and validation. Medin shares an open-source GitHub repository containing all of his commands, rules, and skills files so viewers can adopt or adapt the system immediately. The workshop is aimed at both developers and product managers who want a structured alternative to unguided vibe coding.
