At GTC 2026, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang devoted a substantial portion of his keynote to OpenClaw — the open-source agent framework that has become the fastest-growing GitHub project in history, surpassing Facebook React and Linux in star count within weeks. NVIDIA’s response is NemoClaw, a reference architecture that wraps OpenClaw in an enterprise-ready security layer and can be installed with just a few terminal commands. Sam Witteveen, who attended a private pre-briefing before the keynote, breaks down the two core components NVIDIA is contributing to the ecosystem.
The first is Neotron models — specifically the Neotron 3 Super, a 120B open-weight model that ranks at the top of PinchBench (a benchmark measuring model performance within OpenClaw) above models like Kimi 2.5, GLM5, and various Qwen variants. Running these locally means sensitive data never leaves an organization’s own infrastructure. The second component is OpenShell, a YAML-based security runtime analogous to Docker for agents, which enforces policy controls over what databases, network connections, and cloud services an agent can access — automatically blocking anything outside defined policy. Partners including Box are already deploying the toolkit for multi-agent workflows covering invoice extraction, contract management, and RFP sourcing.
Witteveen frames NemoClaw not as a competitor to OpenClaw but as an enterprise wrapper for organizations that want agent capabilities without the security risks. NemoClaw targets RTX PCs, RTX Pro workstations, DGX Spark, and DGX Station, with containerized cloud versions also available.
